Please take a moment to read the terms and conditions of ScopeDome Australia carefully before using our website.  When you place an order with ScopeDome Australia, you are agreeing that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions:


ScopeDome Australia is devoted to providing quality scope domes, and satisfying all customers who purchase these goods from our company.  For suggestions, comments, or questions, please email us.



Add to cart the items you require and proceed through to Checkout.

At the checkout stage, you may choose to pay by either PayPal or Bank Transfer.

  1. Payments can be made via PayPal. You may log-in and pay by whatever methods you have setup. This can be direct from your Bank Account, Credit Card, Debit Card or cash funds in your PayPal account.

  2. If you choose to pay by Bank Transfer, then the email message you receive will include the Commonwealth Bank Account details where your EFT payment needs to be sent. Please wait until you receive our Invoice which will be sent to you the next business day following receipt of your order before you transfer the funds by EFT.  Following your payment, please email us on a copy of your bank's remittance advice for our records. 


ScopeDome Australia provides easy to use, secure payment options through PayPal, where you are able to pay safely using a credit card, PayPal balance, or bank account.  Please note, effective from 18th August 2014, you are required to create a PayPal account in order to be able to pay using PayPal, and can make payment via PayPal as a guest.  When you use PayPal to provide credit card or bank account payment, your personal information is not divulged to us or any other party, which keeps your financial data completely secure.


If you do not have a PayPal account and wish to pay by Credit Card, ScopeDome Australia will accept payment via MasterCard or Visa upon request.  However, please note, a 2.5% surcharge will be applied to the amount being charged to your Credit Card.  To pay via Credit Card, please contact our office directly on (03) 8752 2404.


We deliver goods to all Australian States and Territories, and New Zealand.  We are not currently able to ship to other areas.  You order will be dispatched after we confirm that your PayPal address matches the delivery address you have provided.  Any discrepancies will be brought to your attention by email for correction and speedy delivery.



PLEASE NOTE: Once your Dome or Spare Parts are dispatched, or following your collection of your Dome or Spare Parts, you become responsible for these items and their safety/ condition. Prior to dispatch or your collection, you can elect for us to arrange insurance for your project. Insurance will need to be arranged in advance of collection or dispatch. It is very IMPORTANT to note that carriers have special exemption that prevents claims against them. Prior payment, please ask us if you wish to include insurance or not.



Our Scope Domes are listed in Australian Dollars and includes Australian Goods and Service Tax [10%]. For international customers, NO GST is payable on export sales [only on local freight charges to the port], so please contact us before placing any orders. Delivery charges are calculated at the end of your purchase and are not included in the equipment price. Delivery charges are confirmed when you checkout and are added to your total at that time. Please note, freight charge includes heavy lift help and a tailgate truck when purchasing our large equipment lines.

ScopeDome Australia make every effort to ensure that the images, measurements etc., on our website match the products available, but in certain cases slight variation may occur.


To best protect our goods for dispatch to our customers, our Scope Domes are optionally packed in heavy crates - there is an additional charge in accordance to the required packaging.


When you order, please specify an address at which your goods will be received.  The deliver address must be within Australia/New Zealand and cannot be a freight forwarding service or industrial shipping yard.  We cannot deliver to PO Boxes.

When your order is accepted, and payment has cleared, ScopeDome Australia will make contact with the selected freight forwarder to arrange for the dispatch of your item(s).  Note, for heavy items, this service includes crane truck to road level destination - ground floor only.  Deliveries will take place from Monday to Friday during business hours.  As our domes are of EXTREME weight, lifting these crates to any level above/below road height will not be possible - please be aware of this. Please also note: our contractors cannot deliver to an unattended address, you will need to be available personally to accept your order.  Upon delivery of your goods, ensure that you inspect the goods/crate prior to signing the Proof of Delivery.  By signing the Proof of Delivery, you are stating that the consignment was received in good condition.

Our freight forwarder allows 15 minutes for delivery of your goods.  If the delivery takes longer than 15 minutes, you will incur additional charges - these charges will be invoiced to you by ScopeDome Australia if additional charges are incurred and these will be payable upon receipt.  It is important to note that our freight forwarder will not deliver to an upstairs area, nor will they unpack your goods and/or carry your goods into your place of business/residence.

ScopeDome Australia will always do its best to make sure your order arrives within the stated timeframes; however, we do not guarantee that these timeframes can be met due to many external factors that may affect delivery.  ScopeDome Australia will not, and does not, accept responsibility for delivery failure, delays, or mistakes by our THIRD PARTY delivery contractors. In some cases, multiple carriers must be used to reach certain destinations. We will provide you consignment tracking details that will help us both keep informed of the deliveries progress.


When an item appears as 'In Stock' through our Online Store, that item will be in our warehouse and is ready for immediate dispatch. Where a number of items are ordered, some time will be needed to prepare the goods for dispatch, and to arrange the best couriers for the task. For Melbourne deliveries, we have the ability to deliver same day, so please call if you need an urgent dispatch. Please note that dispatch of ordered products through our Online Store will take place only once payment in cleared funds has occurred.

ScopeDome Australia recommends that you send us an email ( detailing the product or products you wish to order to allow us to project the time needed for filling your order. 


At ScopeDome Australia, we are dedicated to giving you the highest quality product possible at the lowest price possible.  To do this, we minimize administrative costs by not offering credit.  Because of this, goods will not be shipped until payment in full is received and cleared.  All transactions are premised thus.

Prices may change without prior notice. PayPal is the exclusive provider of all payments. (We cannot accept cheques, credit cards, CODs, or other forms of payment.)  In the event that our website fails to represent a price correctly, as result of an error, omission, or other mistake, we reserve the right to refuse the customer’s purchase and refund any payments made.


The purchase prices indicated on this website provide an ex-works Keysborough, Victoria, Australia price. No heavy packaging, freight or delivery cost is included within our prices. Our prices do not include offsite services. If you need assistance for assembly, or design of basic through to professional level observatories, either ScopeDome Australia directly, or via the services of ScopeDome Germany, can provide detailed assistance for the design you require all at a quoted price.


ScopeDome Australia warrants that all domes supplied via its online store are free of manufacturing defects in material and workmanship, subject to the terms listed below. Your warranty period begins at the invoice date of the original purchase. The equipment or parts supplied or repaired under the terms of this warranty will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period. Warranty is supplied on a return-to-base basis.


Warranty will be provided for equipment:

1. Where proof of purchase can be demonstrated by the original purchaser;
2. Where a claim is made within the warranty period for the specific component of the equipment.

Warranty coverage does not include:

1. Costs for freight/shipping, or any associated cost of freight/shipping;
2. Costs for installing warranty supplied parts;
3. Damage to the appearance of any equipment.

The warranty shall be null and void if:

1. Equipment is used for any other purpose other than that it was intended;
2. Guidelines for assembly and appropriate use as specified in equipment manual are not followed;
3. Where the equipment was subjected to any one of the below conditions:
   a. Involved in an accident;
   b. Where misuse of the equipment occurred;
   c. Where the equipment suffered abuse of any kind;
   d. Where the equipment was serviced by an unauthorised service provider; or
   e. Where a modification was carried out upon the equipment which was not authorised by PHE.

NOTE: ScopeDome Australia will, at its option, repair or replace warranted parts, provided that these part(s) fail due to a defect in workmanship or materials and provided such failure is reported to the Company within the part-specific warranty period as mentioned below.


ScopeDome Australia have an extensive inventory of spare parts for our domes.  If however we do not have the spare parts that you require in stock, we will endeavour to source these for you and provide them to you as soon as possible.  Please contact us directly if you have any spare parts requirements.


A 30% deposit is required for Orders to secure stock or to order in equipment.  


Yes, you are able to cancel an Order, however please note that the 30% deposit is non-refundable.


ScopeDome Australia will refund or exchange on items due to manufacturers flaws or circumstances to which ScopeDome Australia agrees.  Any such flaws must be reported to us within seven (7) business days of you receiving your order. After seven (7) days, we deem that you are happy with the order and consider it complete.  We encourage you to always notify us of any claims or grievances so we can help you resolve them as quickly as possible.  However, please remember that you must obtain authorization before returning any goods for exchange or refund, and all equipment, parts and accessories must be returned in their original condition and packaging.  Note - refunds will not be provided if returned equipment becomes damaged during transit back to us, due to improper packaging.  Any loss or damage which occurs during transport back to us, will be your responsibility.
